I am not able to start pl/sql developer even i specify the 32-bit client in Tools->Preferences of pl-sql developer version 8.0.4. To fix this, download the 32-bit version of Oracle Instant Client, extract it to a directory such as instant_client. Next, configure PL/SQL Developer to use this version by clicking on Tool menus -> Preferences.
PL/SQL Unwrapper for SQL Developer is a free extension to unwrap PL/SQL code wrapped with the wrap utility of the Oracle Database Server version 10g, 11g or 12c.
Example
Open a wrapped PL/SQL unit (procedure, function, package specification, package body, type specification or type body) in a SQL Developer editor
Right-click within editor to show the pop-up-menu. Choose “Unwrap” or simply press Ctrl-Shift-U to unwrap the code.
The editor content is replaced by the unwrapped code.
By default the unwrapped code does not contain a valid DDL statement. In this case the “CREATE” is missing. You may change this behaviour in in the preferences.
Check the “Add ‘CREATE OR REPLACE'” option to get a complete DDL statement.
Bulk Unwrap
If you install oddgen for SQL Developer you will see a “PL/SQL Unwrapper” node in the Generators window:
Open the PL/SQL Unwrapper node to show all wrapped objects in the navigator tree. Select one or more objects to unwrap. The following audioless video shows how to unwrap all package bodies in a schema in one go:
Configure Update Center
Click the “Help” menu and select “Check for Updates…”. Press the “Add” button to register the update center http://update.salvis.com/ . If you have troubles to configure the proxy settings, because your company requires some additional authentication or similar, then I suggest to download PL/SQL Unwrapper for SQL Developer via the “Download” button below and use the “Install From Local File” option. Please note, that a SQL Developer 4.0.0 or higher is required.

The Oracle SQL Developer tool can connect to databases other than Oracle, including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server and DB2. The SQL development environment helps the programmer perform basic functions on supported non-Oracle databases. Developers can browse and execute basic SELECT queries on supported databases. However, write access is not supported for DB2. Before setting up the connection, download and install the IBM DB2 drivers.
Download and Install IBM DB2 Drivers

Download the 'IBM DB2' drivers from the IBM download site. Click the “DB2 x.x Client and Driver Packages” link on the IBM download page to locate the correct drivers. The “x.x” indicates the current version of the drivers. At the time of this writing, the version number was 10.5 and the link text was “DB2 10.5 Client and Driver Packages.” The driver download link displays.

Click the “IBM Data Server Driver Package (DS Driver)” option to download the driver package. The IBM Registration and Login form displays.

Create an IBM user ID or log in with existing credentials. You do not need to own an IBM product to register. Complete the form with your email address, password and personal data, then log onto the IBM site with the newly created username and password. The Download Selection page displays.

Click the radio button next to the entry for the operating system and processor type installed on your development computer, then click “Continue.” A page including the License Agreement and a survey about the use of the driver download opens.

Answer the survey questions, if you want. Answers are not required to download the driver.

Click the “View License” link to review the terms of the software.

Click the check box next to the “I Agree” option, then click “I Confirm.” The final download page displays, and the check box is checked for selected driver.

Connect to DB2
1.
Open the SQL Developer programming environment on the development computer.

Click the “File” option on the top navigation menu to open the File menu.

Click the “Open Connection” option in the File menu. The Connection dialog window opens.

Click the tab labeled “DB2.” The DB2 Connection form opens.

Type a name for the new connection into the “Connection Name” box.

Type the username and password for the DB2 database. Check the “Save Password” check box, if you want to store it.

Type the IP address for the DB2 database into the “Hostname” input box. Type the port number, if required, into the “Port” box.

Type the name of the DB2 database into the “Enter Database” field.

Click the “Info” button to test the connect and view driver information. If the IBM DB2 drivers are not loaded, browse to and select one of the IBM DB2 drivers. Choices are “IBM DB2 Application” and “IBM DB2 Network.” Click “OK” to test the connection. If the connection is not successful, verify and edit Connection settings and retry the connection.
10.
Click the “Save” button to save the connection in SQL Developer after the connection is established.

- Note that SQL Developer only provides read access to the DB2 database. Write privileges are not supported.
